Description

Partial enclosures are increasingly recommended as the preferred extraction solution for various applications. Regulatory bodies, including the HSE, now reference their use in guidance documents such as HSG258.

The FumeCAB 1000 iQ integrated filtration system has been designed to help comply with the latest regulations. It provides users with an extra depth of working space for taller applications.

Standard features include Donaldson BOFA’s Intelligent Operating System (iQ) and ultra-bright, slimline, energy-efficient LED lighting, making it a highly effective fume extraction solution for a wide range of applications.

Features

Intelligent Operating System (iQ)

Advanced extraction monitoring and control system bringing multiple performance enhancements to help with higher efficiency of extraction, independent filter status monitoring and integral design features that combine to help deliver a lower cost of ownership. It monitors the status of both the pre-filter and combined (main) filter.

HEPA filter

Donaldson BOFA uses mini pleat design HEPA (high-efficiency particulate air) filters which are tested and certified to a minimum efficiency of 99.995% down to 0.3 microns and 95% as small as 0.1 microns. They incorporate a series of webbing between the pleated media. This feature not only has even spacing for full filter coverage between each pleat but also helps to alleviate the possibility of airflow vibration or collapse.

Advanced carbon filter (ACF) technology

ACF helps to capture and filter potentially hazardous fumes. Contaminated air must remain in contact with the carbon bed for a period of time sufficient to help ensure that no contaminants or odours are emitted (‘dwell time’). Our filters have been developed to help capture contaminants and odours, helping to eliminate the risk of bypass and/or tunnelling.

Reverse flow air (RFA) technology

The RFA technology feature causes a fall in velocity and air direction change. Larger particulate falls out of the airstream into the filter’s drop-out chamber. With less particulate entering the filter media the filter life is significantly increased, helping to enhance filter capture performance and help ensure longer life.

Automatic flow control

Automatic flow control allows the user to pre-set the correct airflow rates for the specific application, subsequently helping to maintain the airflow. This generates lower noise levels and helps to protect the more expensive HEPA filters.

Conformal coating (optional)

A magnetic conformal coating protection.

UV light (optional)

A UV light for conformal coating curing.

VOC sensor (optional)

Our VOC (volatile organic compound) sensor continuously monitors exhaust air and alerts you if VOC levels exceed the pre-set threshold, preventing the unwanted release of VOCs and other nuisance odors.
